erykah at viper room
my little thunderkitten STEPHEN BRUNER plays bass for ERYKAH BADU (among the many other bands he’s involved with) . after her show at the nokia theater last friday, we all headed to the viper room for the post-show jam session . lots of notables got on that tiny little stage for impromptu treats, but the most surprising moment was when MICHEL GONDRY got on the drums . the rest of MICHEL’s band (other members include: P.T. ANDERSON & JON BRION) was sadly not in attendance .

*special thanks to my goldenvoice girlies for always being on point: LINDSAY LYONS and LESLEY OLENIK

daughter of a ROTHSCHILD, and a member of the free french forces during WWII, baroness PANNONICA de KOENIGSWARTER was a patron of the new york jazz scene in the 1950s, as well as a confidant to its greatest musicians.
in two red leather HERMÈS notebooks, “NICA” transcribed the responses of three hundred jazz musicians to the same singular question, and included along with those often phonetically typed notes, a polaroid that she took herself .
