a day out with DAN DE LARA. super #707
getting a proper historical tour of HARLEM from FAB 5 FREDDY.
took a drive up north with ALEXIS to visit PETER + CASEY.
our first stop was ALEXIS’s family’s apartment in SAN FRANCISCO where apparently all relatives share the same sense of humor.
we dined fine + caught some great shows at the INDEPENDENT + the MEZZANINE including POOLSIDE, BREAKBOT, PARAONE + IRFANE.
but the most memorable moments are always the ones in between.

somewhere down the line, one of our evenings devolved into a (very poor) recreation of JANET JACKSON’s rolling stone cover.

celebrated my dear friend MATT RISING’s birthday in a magical forest + brought along the essentials : good people, good food, good music + good love.
we all took full advantage of the yurt over the course of our 24-hour stay.

it came time to turn the cameras off, almost.
+ then the day began to blur.
it felt pretty much like this.
i woke up with a gnarly burn, the origins of which i couldn’t pinpoint. perhaps the underground oven. who can be sure?

i never see the point of leaving a locale until a better destination presents itself, the funds have run out, or your heart’s been broken.
